Installing Apache HTTPD web server with PHP and OpenSSL support on Windows
Apache HTTPD
Fresh Apache HTTPD binaries can be found on Apache Lounge site. Note that you will need the binary compiled with OpenSSL 0.9.8 to work with our future PHP installation. Also, there is a link to VC10 redistributable somewhere at the top part of the download page. Make sure to grab it and install on your Windows before you start with Apache HTTPD installation and configuration.
Go to C:\Apache24\bin
Just extract the content of the package and move “Apache24” directory to the “C:” drive. You can start the web server by running “httpd.exe” from “C:\Apache24\bin” folder. In the same folder you can find useful ApacheMonitor utility, which allows you to start and stop the server conveniently. I recommend to create a shortcut to this utility and place it to the startup folder (either yours or for all users). Also, Apache HTTPD can be set up to run as a service on system startup by executing “C:\Apache24\bin\httpd.exe -k install” command.
The easiest way to start Apache is to add it as a Windows service.

Skype for business not saving conversations
- Open Skype for Business/Lync and sign in.
- Click Show Menu arrow next to the gear icon in the top right and select Tools > Options > Personal.
- On the Personal tab, choose Microsoft Exchange or Microsoft Outlook from drop-down menu and select Save my IM conversations in my email Conversation History folder. Click OK.
- Sign out of Skype for Business/Lync (choose drop-down menu next to Availability Status > Sign Out), then sign back in to apply changes.
- All future chats will be saved in the Conversation History folder. You can open this folder in Outlook or OWA.
- Open regedit: to do so, click the Start button and then in the Start Menu, either in the Run box or in the Search box, type regedit and press Enter.
- Create the registry backup.
Note: you can skip this step, however, we highly recommend to back up the registry before you proceed to modifying its entries. - Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Office\x.0\Lync (x.0 corresponds to the Office version: 16.0 = Office 2016, 15.0 = Office 2013, 14.0 = Office 2010)
- Remove a DWORD entry named IMAutoArchivingPolicy.
Note: If IMAutoArchivingPolicy has value of 0 the box will be unchecked and greyed out. If IMAutoArchivingPolicy has value of 1, the box will be checked and greyed out. - Reboot your machine. After a reboot you should be able to check the box Save IM conversations in my email Conversation History folder.
- For SFB client, choose option, go to Personal Tab and make sure “Save IM Conversation in my Email Conversation History Folder” box is checked
- Exit Lync Client
Method 1 :
To turn on the option for storing chat history:
Note: if there are more than 1000 folders in the mailbox, saving chat conversations feature may not work correctly.
If the checkbox Save IM conversations in my email Conversation History folder is greyed out, perform the following steps:
Method 2 :
Backup your old “Conversation History” folder contains in Outlook (export it to a file)
Delete the “Conversation History” folder and close “outlook”
Make sure that Lync and outlook are completely closed and no processes are running in the Task Manager
Start “run” and type in outlook /resetfolders
Start Lync, and test (wait 10 minutes for the folder to start saving)
Method 3 :
Start Window update and update the window with latest updates. That will automatically resolved.
